Warranty

Traditional String Warranty 

All Arrow Addiction Traditional Bowstrings are under a conditional warranty for 6 months as follows; 
  • Guaranteed to meet or exceed AMO Specifications of +/- 1/4 @100 lbs. of tension. Strings that do not meet these specifications can be exchanged for a replacement string. Although our strings are pre-stretched, the relaxation of the string during transit may result in some minor relaxation of the string fibers. If the string does not meet the required specs please place it under tension for an hour then take the measurement again to confirm if it meets the AMO specs previously mentioned or not. This warranty requires verification showing the string under 100 lbs. of tension when the measurement is taken. 
  • String center serving is also guaranteed to be free of defects for 6 months. Any center serving separation is repairable under warranty. If the center serving is installed out-of-place the string can be returned to us, free of charge, to be corrected.

Additionally, each string comes with an adjustable-tied string nock pre-installed. This nock is designed to move up or down the serving when twisted. It should never be able to freely slide up and down the center serving. If it does, we'll send you a new piece of serving along with instructions on how to replace it. The string nock is covered under warranty for 30 days. 

It is very common for tag ends of the string material to be visible on the braided loops of Flemish twist strings. These are normal and not an indication of a defective or failing string. This is not a cause for concern or replacement of the string.  

Cosmetic damage to the string, such as fading or fraying of material, is not covered under warranty.

You should wax your string occasionally and remove it from the bow when it is not in use. This will help increase the life of the string and the limbs of your bow.

Compound String Warranty

All Arrow Addiction Compound Bowstrings are under a conditional warranty for 6 months, as follows; 
  • Strings mailed and installed by a third-party are guaranteed to meet or exceed AMO specifications of +/- 1/4". Strings that do not meet these specifications will be replaced and mailed for free. This warranty requires verification showing the string under 100 lbs. of tension when the measurement is taken. Any discrepancies regarding length must be made prior to installing the component.
  • Serving is also guaranteed to be free of defects for 6 months. Defects include; unraveling, improper length, improper placement and serving separation. Please note that some minor separation around cam post is not uncommon and typically has no effect on the performance or durability of the string. As such, minor separation in these areas will not be covered. Extreme separation in these areas that may lead to the serving unwinding will be covered. Arrow Addiction reserves the right to make a final call on the severity of this separation. 

Cosmetic damage, such as fraying is only covered under warranty for 1 week. If a string is neglected and not waxed it will fray. All of our strings leave the shop with a fresh application of wax. It is the responsibility of the customer to make sure the string remains waxed. Strings claimed under this warranty must be returned to Arrow Addiction before a replacement set is issued. 

With any brand new string components there may be a breaking in/settling period. Arrow Addiction Strings are guaranteed to have little or no peep rotation, with strings installed in-house commonly having no rotation. Strings shipped to our customers are guaranteed to settle within 100 shots, but typically settle much quicker. We recommend that if you experience peep rotation that you fire 100 shots or more before adding or removing twist from the string. Twisting the string every 10 shots will not result in an effective break-in. If rotation continues to be an issue after 100 shots, the string may be exchanged for a new one, free of charge. Please note that peep rotation is only considered at full draw. If the peep is slightly twisted at rest but straight at full draw there is no need for concern. As such, minor peep rotation at rest is not covered under warranty.
